Wedding trends aren’t about what’s “in” — they’re about how a day feels.

Last fall, I toured 12 Central Florida wedding venues and started noticing the same themes popping up across open houses. Between that and my 10+ years as a wedding photographer, I pulled together a list of 8 trends I’m genuinely loving.

Some have been here to stay. Others are just starting to make their mark.

These are the ones I’m personally living for this year.

Trend #1

Niche Vendor Add-Ons

Putting a twist on traditional wedding needs, I’m talking about vendors that also double as guest EXPERIENCES.

Live painters, permanent jewelry, and print vending machines for wedding favors.

A phone booth instead of a traditional guestbook.

Or even a performer in a walking champagne dress to wow your guests during cocktail hour.

These aren’t just add-ons — they become moments your guests talk about long after the day ends.

Trend #2

Live Music & Entertainment

Live music can add ambience during cocktail hour when guests are mingling via violin or ukulele.

It can create cinematic romance with a harpist playing as the bride walks down the aisle.

Or celebrate heritage with a Mariachi band during your reception.

Music isn’t background noise anymore — it’s part of the emotional storytelling.

Trend #3 Intentional & Unexpected Layouts

Designing the space with connection in mind.

Caterpillar tables that invite long, family-style dinners. Living-room-inspired lounge vignettes that create pockets for real conversation.

Clear tents that blur the line between indoors and out — letting the setting become part of the story.

The layout isn’t just functional anymore.

It shapes how the day is experienced.

Trend #4 Whimsical, Collected Decor

A move away from “perfectly matched” and toward personality.

Mini table lamps for warmth and intimacy. Colored glassware that feels playful and intentional.

Soft linen signage and tactile materials.

Hanging florals and chandeliers.

Bright, joyful florals replacing overly muted tones.

And the biggest shift of all:

themes over color palettes — telling a story instead of just picking shades.

Trend #5

Food as Art

Where flavor meets visual storytelling.

From sculptural cake designs to thoughtfully styled buffet displays, food becomes part of the decor itself. Dining is no longer just a course schedule — it’s an experience.

Multi-sensory. Immersive.

And undeniably photo-worthy.

Trend #6

Bridal Party Experiences

Intentional moments, before the aisle.

Morning-of coffee deliveries to set a slower pace. Putt-putt golf, cigar rolling, or hands-on activities to mark the day together.

Less waiting around. More memory-making — before the “I do.”

Trend #7 Intentional & Unexpected Layouts

Because they’re family, too.

Intentional moments carved into the timeline — not just a quick cameo.

Portraits that feel calm and unhurried.

Details that honor their place in your story, without turning it into a novelty.

A small moment.

One you’ll be endlessly grateful you made space for.

Trend #8 Whimsical, Collected Decor

This one hits close to home, since it directly impacts my role as your photographer — and I’m here for it.

Think: guided posing that feels elevated, inspired by high-fashion editorials.

Movement, negative space, and quiet in-between moments take center stage.

Intentional.

Timeless.

Trends come and go. But, pictures last forever.
