Christian Blind Date Photoshoots

What happens when you combine a blind date, a photoshoot, and a little faith-based matchmaking? You get my Christian Stranger Sessions. 🤎

After seeing the blind date photoshoot trend take off among photographers, I wanted to create my own version—but with a different focus. Instead of manufacturing chemistry for the camera, I wanted to create actual dates where two Christian singles could meet, have a genuine conversation, and see if there might be a connection—while I quietly documented the experience along the way.

For my first round, I matched six young adults from Central Florida into three dates. Each person received three hints about their match beforehand to help break the ice, but otherwise, they showed up without knowing who they were meeting.

And the dates? Coffee, ice cream, Disney talk, flowers, a Bible, Florida rain, flat tires, lots of laughter… and one date that continued for two hours after I left. 👀

With more than 180 applications already submitted for future rounds, I'm being intentional about every pairing. If someone hasn't been selected, it isn't because they weren't a great candidate. It simply means I haven't found the right match for them yet.

My hope is that these sessions become more than just pretty photos. I want them to create opportunities for genuine connection, encourage Christian singles to step outside their comfort zones, and maybe—even just maybe—capture the beginning of something meaningful.

Will & Keysha

Will & Keysha had coffee, conversation, and a little stroll through Hannibal Square. ☕️✨

What are the odds that they would show up in perfectly color-coordinated outfits?! Because I gave them absolutely zero direction on what colors to wear. 😂👏

I took a little leap and paired these two together despite a bit of an age gap because they both serve in ministry, have Disney passes, love fashion, and have both traveled to London. ✈️🇬🇧

Will started off on the right foot by gifting her a Bible and flowers, which really calmed Keysha’s nerves! 🌸📖

Spoiler: Will is NOT a fan of the Pirates ride at Disney… and Keysha was a little offended. 😂🏴‍☠️

Matt & Sara

Matt & Sara didn’t let the Florida RAIN put a damper on their date. ☔️❤️

Christian Stranger Session 3 is HERE! 👀

Originally, we planned a fun park hangout, but when the rain came down torrentially, we pivoted indoors to a nearby coffee shop. ☕️

Sara even got a flat tire that morning and spent the first part of her day at the mechanic… but she STILL made it! 🙌🏼

And Matt? He showed up soaking wet from head to toe. 😂 But despite the soggy clothes, these two hit it off so well that their date lasted another *TWO HOURS* after I left the scene! 👀

I paired these two together because they both love God, value fitness, and work with young kids—Sara as a nanny and Matt at a daycare.

Sometimes the best dates are the ones you didn’t plan. 🤎

Grant & Molly

Grant & Molly giggled over ice cream! 🍦🤎

I paired these two together because they both have a strong relationship with the Lord, love to travel, and work in similar fields (media + marketing). After chatting for a bit, they discovered they’re BOTH Disney Annual Passholders… and, there were talks of a future park hang. 👀🏰✨

They exchanged numbers before parting ways, sooooo… I guess we’ll see where this one goes! 🤭

We did have some microphone 🎤 malfunctions in the rain, so unfortunately Molly’s interview audio was not salvageable 😭 BUT her bright smile and bubbly personality speak for themselves. 🥹💕

Could this be the beginning of something? I’m rooting for them!

WHY I STARTED CHRISTIAN STRANGER SESSIONS

If you've spent any time on social media in the photography world, you've probably seen the blind date photoshoot trend.

I loved the concept, but wanted to put my own spin on it—specifically for Christian young adults in Central Florida.

Instead of simply pairing two strangers together for a photoshoot, I wanted to create an actual date: coffee, ice cream, a walk, conversation, and hopefully a genuine connection—all while I document it along the way.

My hope is to give Christian singles an opportunity to meet someone they may not have crossed paths with otherwise, without the pressure of a traditional dating app or singles event.

MORE THAN A PHOTOSHOOT

For me, the date comes first and the photography comes second.

I've seen plenty of stranger-session content online that feels more focused on dramatic poses, PDA, or creating a story for social media than actually getting to know the person standing across from you. That's not what I'm going for.

No forced PDA. No manufactured chemistry. No drama for engagement.

I want to capture the nervous laughs, genuine conversations, unexpected things they have in common, and those little moments when two strangers start to feel comfortable around each other.

I'll give them a few prompts or lightly scripted moments when needed, but the goal is always to let the date unfold naturally.

I'm not trying to create a viral couple. I'm trying to create an opportunity for a real connection.

HOW I MATCH PEOPLE

With more than 180 applications, I don't just randomly pair people together. I'm intentional about looking for potential compatibility based on things like:

  • Faith & relationship with God
  • Age & life stage
  • Personality
  • Interests & hobbies
  • Career & lifestyle
  • Values
  • Location
  • What they're looking for in a relationship

Before each date, I also give each person three hints or random facts about their match to help break the ice without completely giving away the blind-date element.

And if someone applies but isn't selected, it doesn't mean they're not a great candidate. It simply means I haven't found the right pairing for them yet.

I'm not looking for the "best" applicants. I'm looking for the right combination of two people.
