No Idea How to Pose?
One of the biggest questions I hear before a couples photoshoot is: “But what are we supposed to do?”
The good news? You don't need to know how to pose!
While every couples session I photograph is different, I have a whole library of poses and prompts in my back pocket to help couples move, interact, and genuinely connect in front of the camera.
Here are 36 of my favorite go-to couples photography prompts:

These Are Prompts, Not Rules
The goal isn't to force every couple into the exact same poses. I adjust each prompt based on your personalities, your connection, your comfort level, and the location we're photographing in.
Sometimes the best photo happens in the few seconds after the "pose"—when you laugh, move closer, look at each other, or simply forget I'm holding a camera.
That's why I love using prompts instead of expecting couples to know how to pose themselves.
So save this for your next couples session… or just hire me so you don't have to remember any of these. 😉
