A Divine Appointment

at Lake Eola

On July 2nd, I was at Lake Eola waiting for a family session when a beautiful couple—A + J—spotted me, camera in hand, and came right over.

I couldn’t help but notice Jabril’s shirt: “Jesus Changed My Life.” 🙌🏾

Of course, I had to comment that I’m a Christian too! That one little exchange sparked a conversation, and before I knew it, we were swapping contact info.

A few hours later, I got a notification that they had filled out my inquiry form on my website. What I didn’t know in that exact moment? They had just gotten their marriage license that very day and were taking a celebratory stroll downtown when we crossed paths.

From Lake Eola to “I Do” 💍

Less than two weeks later, I had the honor of photographing their courthouse elopement at the Orange County Courthouse. It was intimate, joyful, and so full of love.

And as if the story couldn’t get any sweeter, I learned that A + J are both flight attendants—and they first met at flight attendant training the year before. Tell me that isn’t God’s handwriting all over their love story!

But here’s the part that completely floored me.

In this new season of being a full-time photographer, I’ve felt God nudging me toward writing again. I’ve been diving into books (mostly romance novels 📚), and on June 22nd, I scribbled a little note to myself:

“Write a book about a flight attendant love story.”

Just a couple weeks later? God brings me A + J—an actual real-life flight attendant love story—to photograph. 🥹💛
